Services offered by the Palm Beach Habilitation Center promote greater independence and enhance the quality of life of people with developmental, physical and/or emotional disabilities. Approximately 700 individuals receive services each year at our 13 acre campus located in Lake Worth, Florida and other sites throughout Palm Beach County.
Programs for skills training and employment are a major focus of our work. Since our founding, PBHC has placed more than 8,000 people into competitive employment. Individuals have the opportunity to earn a wage training and working on campus, remotely in supervised mobile work crews, and individually in community businesses where they can transition to permanent employment.
Residential Services offer individuals with disabilities the opportunity to live within their community either independently or in a group setting. A Supported Living coach helps those living independently to manage budgets, plan meals, maintain their health, and engage in community activities. Residents of our group homes learn life skills and maintain their independence through a more supportive home like environment.
