How You Can Help

YES, I want to help men and women with disabilities live and work to their greatest level of independence!

YOUR gift does make a difference...it is vital to our success.  The Hab Center depends on the generosity of the community to keep their programs in step with advances and to continue the long tradition of providing professional and caring services for each person served.

By supporting us you are investing in the future and in the lives of individuals with disabilities in our community.  With proper training and encouragement, these very valuable human resources become contributing members of our society.

WAYS TO GIVE:

  • Outright Gifts of Cash - donations are gratefully accepted in any amount by cash, check or credit card.

  • Stocks - donating appreciated shares of stock can provide an additional tax advantage by avoiding capital gains.
  • Memorials and Honorariums - Donations can be made in memory or honor of a friend or family member.  In addition to the donor receiving a receipt and tax-donation, a card is sent to the family of the person honored acknowledging the name of the donor - but not the amount. 
  • Company Matching - An easy way to double your gift is to advise us if your company has a matching gift program.
  • Foundations - please advise us if you have a family foundation or can be a liaison with a foundation.
  • Gifts-in-Kind - you can support the Center and receive a tax-deduction by donating your new or used vehicles, boats, equipment, furniture, clothes, services and other non-cash donations.

PLANNED GIVING

BEQUEST
Make a charitable gift by naming Palm Beach Habilitation Center as a beneficiary in your will by designating a specific amount or a percentage.  This will provide a legacy in perpetuity.  Your financial advisor can prepare a codicil to your existing will.

GIFT OF LIFE INSURANCE
Donate a life insurance policy that you no longer need and you can receive a tax-deduction for the premiums or the replacement value.

GIFT ANNUITY
A great way to give money away and enjoy it, too!  This enables you to support the Center, receive income for life and get substantial tax benefits.
