Volunteer

Are you looking for something to do?  Do you have some free time on your hands?  Do you want to help others?  

If you do, Palm Beach Habilitation Center is looking for you! 

You can work:

• year-round or seasonal, 
• a few hours a day, week or month
• hours are flexible, according to your availability

Volunteers Opportunities include:

• TJ's Cafe-- Mon-Fri  9:30am-2:00 pm... Volunteers are need to assist the clients and staff with taking orders, cashiering, food preparation, baking and cooking.  (Involves bending, stretching, and lifting.)
• STARS -- Mon-Fri 9:30am-2:00 pm... Volunteers are needed to provide companionship and participate in arts and crafts, games, and field trips.  (Involves bending, stretching, and lifting.)
• Work Operations -- Mon-Fri 9:00 am-3:00 pm Assist instructors in the work shop.  Working with small groups or one-on-one.  Inspectings materials, counting, pick-up and distributions.  (Involves bending, stretching, and lifting.)
• Hab Center Thrift- Mon-Sat 9:00 am-4:00 pm... Assist with sorting, pricing, and displaying of items donated to the Thrift Store at 4522 South Congress Avenue in Lake Worth.  (Involves bending, stretching, and lifting.)
• Maintenance -  Mon-Fri 9:00 am-4:30 pm... Assist with gneral maintenance/cleaning, painting, light plumbing, eletricial, and gardening.  (Involves bending, stretching, and lifting.)
• Computer Training Lab - Mon-Fri 8:30 am-11:00 am & 12:15 pm-3:15 pm... Assist clients with computers.  From basic keybaording to word processing, and data entry skills.  (Involves bending, stretching, and lifting.)
• Administrative Office -Mon-Fri 9:00 am-4:30 pm... Coping, filing, typing, and general office duties.
