In 1986, Mrs. Rita Nabhan and Mrs. Shirley Brenner invited their friends from the City of Atlantis to a coffee in order to acquaint them with the needs of the men and women served at the Palm Beach Habilitation Center. They intended to secure volunteers for the programs at the Center. Their efforts led to the creation of the Hab-a-Hearts Auxiliary and an annual event that has contributed significant financial assistance to the Center’s programs and encouraged countless people to advocate for the meaningful and dignified future for each person served. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ |
