“50 and Fa-HAB-ulous” Tea @ Noon, a Smashing Success!
As the sell-out crowd of 120 guests entered the Leopard Lounge at the Chesterfield Hotel on October 8th for the “50 and Fa-HAB-ulous” Tea @ Noon, they were dazzled by the colorful display of raffle items. The 300 raffle tickets, which sold out in less than 20 minutes, offered a one in three chance of winning a prize. The centerpieces, different teapots with silk flowers on each table, added another splash of color and were available for purchase after the event. The Neiman Marcus goody bags were packed full of great items including: a $150 facial from Reflections, a booklight from Butzel Long, a plantable bookmark from Office Depot Foundation, St John perfume sample, Orlane skincare products, a teapot tape measure, a chocolate teaspoon, a porcelain tea bag holder, and Hab Center notecards. A small silent auction of 18 items brought in over $3,000 and the attendees proved they were in a giving mood by shocking even Kent Simpkins of Southern Pie by bidding $100 for one of his Jack Daniels Chocolate Pecan Pies.
Beverlee Miller, Chair, welcomed all the guests and thanked her Committee Members for all their hard work. She then recognized Tina Philips, President/CEO of the Hab Center, for her 26 years of service and presented her with a swarovski crystal teapot business card holder and a bouquet of flowers. Joella Cain, the featured speaker, entertained the attendees with a history of escorts, walkers and companions Palm Beach style. Each attendee was given an autographed copy of Joella’s book, The Escort.
