JARDEN CONSUMER SOLUTIONS COMMUNITY FUND DONATES $5,000

On August 3, 2011, Larry Randall, the Jarden liaison for Palm Beach Habiliation Center, was delighted to present Roxanne Jacobs, Director of Development, with a check for $5,000 from the JCS Community Fund for the Supported Meals Program.  "Our goal is to direct funding to programs that best address the needs of challenges of our community.  To that end, we target initiatives, like those at PB Hab Center, that develop and improve our communities -- they continue to exemplify that day after day", said Rocki Rockingham, Vice President of Community Relations and Communications for Jarden Consumer Solutions of Boca Raton.  After a recent group of NCCI employees toured the Center, Alexandra Morales, Corporate Communications, said " We would all like to thank the PBHC for having us and giving us the opportunity to learn about the amazing things PBHC does for those in need in our community."  "Thank you so much for your time to give employees a tour of the Habilitation Center. It was so informative and uplifting to see the work that your organization is doing for an often forgotten population", said Judy Joffe, Director of Community Relations.

Written by Jeff Levine...Last week, I and four coworkers from Financial Data Validation gave our time to take a United Way Ambassador Tour of the Palm Beach Habilitation Center. To be honest, I went into the tour with a small amount of trepidation. I didn’t know much about the organization other than what I was able to learn from a quick scan of the website, and simply didn’t know what to expect. Having so many friendly and familiar faces from NCCI on this tour made it very comfortable right from the start and added to the amount of fun I had.   

We didn’t give much that day, just a couple of hours from our workday. I could go on at length and tell you what an amazing and uplifting experience it was, the pride exhibited by every one of the Center’s clients I was lucky enough to interact with, the positive energy spilling out of each room we passed through, how impressed I was with the staff and the facility, etc… but I would have to change the subject of this email to a Long Story of Giving. Catch me in person and I will gladly tell you all about my experience at the Palm Beach Habilitation Center and how this organization serves individuals with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities.

PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB FOUNDATION DONATES $15,000!

    Babbette Wolff, Board Chair, expresses her sincere
    appreciation to Lionel Greenbaum, fellow Board Member
    and Board Member of the Palm Beach Country Club 
    Foundation.  The Palm Beach County Club Foundation
   donated $15,000 for the Supported Meals and Food Service
   Employment Training Program in April 2011.
